Young-N-Lively Club Shows Dedication To Youth With Donations To Pool Fund

The Young-N-Lively group in Elgin works hard to maintain the city’s park areas. The do a spring and fall park clean up, plant flowers, pick up fallen branches and more. Their love for the park and keeping it clean and safe for the community’s youth is why this group has supported the Elgin swimming pool fund.
They recently donated $5,000 to the new pool fund. This past Sunday evening’s wine tasting event, Sip & Dip, was held to help raise more funds for the pool.
Young-N-Lively President Sue Vanis said the organization supports the pool project. “Youths are important to sustaining the community. Our members have many children and grandchildren who need to have a place to go in the summertime,” she said.
Groups like the Young-N-Lively recognize the importance of keeping Elgin a vital community. Updated and attractive facilities for residents like a community swimming pool are necessary.
Others this past week who also gave to the pool fund were Jim & Betty Getzfred; Randy & Sue Vanis; Sharon V.
