CLEARWATER — Three of five Wolfpack wrestlers competing at the Cyclone Invite Friday came home with medals.
Ryan Pelster and Andrew Fangman each placed second in their weight classes and senior Shane Beckman brought home a fourth place medal in the final tuneup before districts which start Friday at Neligh-Oakdale High School. Beckman had what was likely the fastest pin in the tournament, pinning Noah McPhillips of Humphrey St. Francis/Lindsay Holy Family in 13 seconds. Plainview won with a score of 168 followed by West Point/Beemer 157, Winside 115, Howells-Dodge 92.5, LHNE 70, Osmond 68, Clearwater/Orchard 65, Elkhorn Valley 58, EPPJ 51.5, Fullerton 46, St. Francis/Holy Family 39, and North Central 24.
