Work has begun this week on Highway 70 west of Elgin.
Dan Ziska with the Nebraska Department of Roads said the project may take up to 50 working days to complete on more than 10 miles of highway from Elgin west to the county line. He said Tuesday he doesn’t expect the work project to last that long.
Milling and asphalt overlay will be done to the highway. During the day traffic will be down to one lane, maintained by flagging operations.
