SPENCER — Elgin Public-Pope John posted their second victory of the season on Thursday night as they defeated West Boyd in three games.
A conference foe, West Boyd had no answer for the Wolfpack as they were swept 25-14, 25-13 and 25-14.
Coming into the match having won just one of their first four matches, the Wolfpack turned in a solid performance as evidenced by final match statistics. The team recorded 23 kills at the net, led by Chelsi Mescher with six. Others with multiple kills were Marin Heithoff and Ashley Bode with four apiece, Lauren Selting and Stephanie Bode each with three and Courtney Schumacher added two.
