ELGIN — For awhile Friday night, the Wolfpack were scoring a point a second. It didn’t last for long, but the final score won’t be forgotten soon as Elgin Public-Pope John defeated Clearwater/Orchard 60 to 6.
The Wolfpack’s size and speed wore down the Cyclones in the first half. On their very first play from scrimmage, the Wolfpack scored when quarterback Ross Schindler connected with Nash Schindler for a 53-yard touchdown pass. Nash added the two-point conversion to lead 8-0 just eight seconds into the game.
