Wolfpack Netters Win Two at Osmond

OSMOND — Playing in a triangular Tuesday night, the Wolfpack netters defeated Osmond and Lindsay Holy Family.

Against Osmond, Elgin Public-Pope John (EPPJ) prevailed by the scores of 25-22 and 25-20.

Carey Eischeid was a force for EPPJ from the service line as she had four of the team’s seven ace serves in the match. Brea Schrage added two and Michelle Bauer had one.

At the net Bauer led hitters with seven kills. However, Osmond was not able to concentrate solely on her as Jessica Heithoff had four, Ashley Bode and Lauren Selting each had three kills while Chelsi Mescher and Marin Heithoff each had one kill. Selting led setters with 10 set assists in the match, Jessica Heithoff added seven.

Mescher led the team in digs with eight, Jessica Heithoff and Selting each had six, Bauer and Bode each had five and Eischeid added four digs.

Bauer had two solo blocks in the match, Marin Heithoff added one.

It took three games for the Wolfpack to prevail over Lindsay Holy Family by the scores of 26-24, 8-25 and 25-17.
