Wolfpack Netters Defeat CWC, Wausa

CLEARWATER — The Wolfpack varsity volleyball team improved their record to 8-11 with a pair of victories Thursday night.

Competing in a dougle-triangular, EPPJ defeated Wausa and Chambers/Wheeler Central. Against Wausa, the Wolfpack won by the scores of 25-11, 23-25 and 25-13. Wausa struggled on serve receive as the Wolfpack posted nine ace serves in the match led by Lauren Selting with four, Chelsi Mescher had two while Brea Schrage, Ashley Bode and Marin Heithoff each had one.

The Wolfpack combined for 32 set assists in the match, led by Mescher with 16, Selting had 14 while Schrage and Ashley Bode each had one.

At the net, Ashley Bode led hitters with eight kills, Selting had six, Mescher, Heithoff and Stephanie Bode each had four and Schrage added three.

Carey Eischeid led the team in digs with 14, Heithoff had seven while Selting and Schrage each had six.

Heithoff had two ace blocks in the match, Ashley Bode added one.

In the Wolfpack’s other match of the night, they defeated Chambers/Wheeler Central 25-23, 14-25 and 25-21. It marked the first time this season the Wolfpack had defeated CWC.Heithoff had six kills in the match to lead the Wolfpack. Other top hitters were Stephanie Bode with five, Selting and Schrage each had three, Ashley Bode added two while Mescher and Madi Voborny each had one. Mescher had 10 set assists in the match, Selting added five.

Eischeid led the team with 15 digs in the match, Heithoff and Mescher each had six. Ashley Bode was credited with two solo blocks, Heithoff had one. Schrage had a big night from the service line with five ace serves, Mescher had one. The victories improved the Wolfpack’s record to 8-11.
