ELGIN — Elgin Public-Pope John handed Plainview their first loss of the season Friday night with a 60 to 41 victory.
Playing at the EPS gymnasium, the Wolfpack got 19 points from Stephanie Bode and three other players scored in double figures to help EPPJ even their season record at 2-2.
The game’s outcome was in doubt early in the game as each time the Wolfpack would build a lead, the Lady Pirates would come back. Leading 17 to 15 early in the second quarter, the Wolfpack outscored Plainview 14 to nine to close out the first half and lead by seven.
