Wolfpack Girls Defeat Stuart

ELGIN — With two minutes to go and the score tied 40-all, the outcome of Friday night’s Wolfpack-Stuart girls basketball game was in doubt.
That may have been what everyone in the stands thought, but Coach Randy Eisenhauer sat his team down during a timeout and worked his magic. When they returned to the floor, they scored the final four points of the game to claim a 44 to 40 victory.
After getting a steal, Chelsi Mescher scored the go-ahead basket with 1:16 left in the game. Then, after Stuart’s Tessa Fox missed two free throws, Mescher added two insurance free throws to create a four-point final margin of victory.
