After a one-year hiatus, the Elgin Public-Pope John football team is returning to the Class D-1 State Football Playoffs.
The D1-7 District Champion Wolfpack (5-3) enter the playoffs with a five-game winning streak. They will face Neligh-Oakdale (5-3) on Thursday night at Elgin Field. Kickoff will be at 7 p.m.
It will be a rematch of a game played on Oct. 17, at Elgin Field, where the Wolfpack defeated the Warriors 36 to 20.
