Wolfpack Defeat Lady Warriors In NVC Tourney Opener

STUART — The tandem of Baylee Wemhoff and Jenna Parks combined for 32 points Saturday evening to help lead the Wolfpack to a 60 to 42 victory over Neligh-Oakdale.
In the opening round of the NVC Tournament, EPPJ doubled the score of the Lady Warriors in the first half. Leading 17 to 11 to start the second quarter, the Wolfpack limited Neligh-Oakdale to just five points in the second quarter as they took control of the game.
The second half was more competitive as the Wolfpack outscored their opponent 28 to 26.
Wemhoff led the scoring parade with 19 points. She hit on six of 10 shots from the field and added four of eight free throws in the game.
Junior Jenna Parks tossed in 13 points. They were the only Wolfpack players to score in double figures. The Wolfpack (14-5) made 21 of 39 shots from the field (54 percent).
