Wins Boost EPPJ Netters’ Record To 15-2

Elgin Public-Pope John swept a triangular Thursday night, improving their record to 15-2 on the season.
Against Chambers/Wheeler Central, the Wolfpack won by the scores of 25-20 and 30-28.
Against CWC, the Wolfpack had 14 kills at the net. Liz Selting led the way with six, Jenna Parks had four, Hayley Stamp and Terri Seier each had two.
Jordan Mescher led the way in serve receive with nine, Selting had seven followed by Parks with five, Sharla Schindler added four, Taylor Schumacher had three and Baylee Wemhoff recorded two.
Schindler led the team in digs with five, Selting and Wemhoff each had four.
Parks recorded a team-high six set assists in the match, Wemhoff had four, Mescher and Nikki Beckman each had one.
The Wolfpack controlled the net with five solo blocks, led by Seier with three, Parks and Beckman each had one.
In the other match of the evening, the Wolfpack defeated Elkhorn Valley 25-17 and 25-17.
Parks and Selting each had seven kills in the match, Seier added four, Beckman had two while Amy Nelson, Jill Schindler and Stamp each had one. Elkhorn Valley was led by Alyssa Rood with six.
Mescher and Wemhoff each had one ace serve in the match. For Elkhorn Valley, Logan Jensen pounded three ace serves in the match.
Selting and Stamp were each credited with solo blocks in the match
Mescher led the team in digs with five, Wemhoff had four while Schindler and Parks each had three.
Parks led the way in set assists with 11, Wemhoff had six. For Elkhorn Valley, Liz Osborn had 15.
Mescher and Schumacher tied for the top spot in serve receive, each had eight while Selting had four.
