Students from St. Boniface Elementary School and Pope John XXIII Central Catholic Jr/High School participated in the Elgin Legion Auxiliary’s Americanism Essay contest.

This contest is sponsored by Elgin’s American Legion Auxiliary Unit 229. The topic for this year’s essay was, “How do we keep Lincoln’s Promise to our veterans and their families?”
