The ballots have been counted and selections made for the Niobrara Valley Conference all-conference teams.
As expected, two members of the Elgin Public-Pope John Wolfpack girls team headed up first team selections.
Senior Lydia Behnk and junior Allyson Wemhoff earned first-team honors. They helped lead the way as the Wolfpack put together an impressive 15-7 record.
Two other Wolfpack team members, seniors’ Calli Krebs and Paige Meis, received honorable mention.
The selections once again show the Wolfpack annually continue to have some of the best players in the NVC.
Selections were made Monday night, March 12, by conference coaches.
