Deadlines are fast approaching for Nebraska citizens who want to register to vote in the Nov. 6 general election, Secretary of State John Gale says.
Gale outlined deadlines regarding voter registration for the November election:
• Mail-in voter registrations must be postmarked by Oct. 19. Registrations close at motor vehicle offices and state agencies on Oct. 19.
• In-person voter registration at county election offices ends at 6 p.m. Oct. 26.
Gale reminded people to update their voter registration if they have moved within a county, since this will save them time when they go to the polls. People with voting questions can contact their county election office.
