Legion Commander Gary Hoefer announced Tuesday morning that the Elgin Color Guard will participate in the opening ceremonies for the Vietnam Moving Wall which will arrive in Albion on Friday, July 8.
Hoefer said any local veteran who would like to attend the opening ceremony should go to the Elgin Veterans Club (located next to Dean’s Market) no later than 3 p.m. that day.
The color guard will be leaving for Albion at approximately 3:15 p.m., he said.
