Tickets Sold Out for ‘Those Who Know’

Nearly 125 tickets have been sold for the first event of its kind to ever be held in Elgin.

Women young and young at heart as well as some men will learn the secrets of home cooking on Monday night.

“Demos By Those We Know Know” – cooking demonstrations – will be held on Monday, March 8 at the Elgin Knights of Columbus Hall. 

The evening will kickoff with a salad bar meal accompanied by flavored teas and coffee beginning at 6:30 p.m. 

Afterwards, the event everyone came for will be held.

Giving cooking demonstrations and the topics will be:

Genny Henn — Homemade bread.

Juan Hoefer — Pie crust.

Loretta Zegers — Sour cream raisin filling.

Kathy Buelt — Meringue

Nancy Shavlik — Talk about Teas.

“If you have a favorite coffee or tea mug you enjoy drinking from, bring it,” said Julie Borer, one of the organizers of the event.

All tickets have been sold for the event. Doors will open at 6 p.m. See ya there!
