Three Wolfpack Wrestlers Medal At Burwell Invite

BURWELL — Wolfpack wrestlers again made a march to the medal stand Saturday, competing at the Burwell Invite.
Eighteen teams competed in the tournament. The Wolfpack had four wrestlers compete and three came home with medals.
Andrew Fangman (160 pounds) and Logan Henn (106) each placed second in their respective weight divisions to highlight EPPJ’s team performance. Teammate Ryan Pelster, competing at 145 pounds, finished fourth. Due to a rule which limits the number of matches a wrestler can wrestle in one day, Pelster was unable to wrestle in the consolation finals.
Geoffrey Carr, competing in the 120-pound division, finished 1-2 at the tournament with a pin in his opening round match.
In the team standings, Valentine won with 269 points. The Wolfpack finished 12th in the team standings with 54 points.
Wolfpack wrestlers will next be in action Saturday at the Dunning Invite. Matches are set to begin at 10 a.m.
