Thank you to everyone that joined us at the Community Center for our May evening meal.  The cooks did an excellent job and the music was very fun.  Thank you Wayne Ives, Julie Jochum and Connie Nelson for your talents!  We appreciate everyone that brought the nice variety of salads too.  Hope to see you all next month!

Elgin Community Center

Dearest Family and Friends at home,

I wanted to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of our family and friends back home for your prayers, phone calls and good wishes when my son Adrian, (now 32 years old) had his third open heart surgery here in Denver. They successfully implanted an artificial aortic valve (he already has an artificial mitral valve implanted when he was 13) and is healing very well. He can drive now but can’t lift his infant son yet. A special thanks to my dear sister Elaine Kimes, my brother Jim and his wife Bev Funk, and my mother, Alice Funk, who made the trip to Denver to be with us during those anxious hours he was in surgery. My sister Betty Jean lives here in Colorado and is always by our side at these times and for her and her family’s love and devotion we are deeply grateful. As has always been the case throughout the 39 years I’ve been away, this beloved community has been one of the greatest sources of strength and support. For that I thank all of you from the bottom of my heart.

Janette Feijoo

Denver, Co.

I want to thank the Elgin Area Community Foundation directors, members, and donors for the scholarship I received.

Thanks so much for all the cards and good wishes we received for our 45th Anniversary. God bless you all!
