Thank you to the many who came to the blood drive, both donors and volunteers. The spirit of giving and serving is certainly alive and well in Elgin. Here’s a salute to our hometown heroes.

Linda Kerkman, Volunteer coordinator

I want to say “Thank You” to everyone for the many cards, prayers and Masses, calls, flowers and gifts. It is really nice to walk to the mail box and am still getting cards. Also what a surprise to my daughter Jo Ann for bringing my sisters to wish me a Happy Birthday. We had laughter and tears and will never forget that when they walk in. Thank you all. May God Bless everyone of you. Love you all.

Ann Marie Beckman

Thank you to the Elgin Rescue/EMTs for transporting me to the Albion hospital. Your dedication and efficiency are most greatly appreciated. Also thank you to all my friends and neighbors for your thoughts and prayers during my illness.

Norma Peters

Thanks to everyone who made my 98th birthday so special. Thanks to my family and the Golden Living Center for the party, the Tunetappers for the music, Rosie for the cake, and all who joined us that day. Also thanks for the many cards, gifts and visits I received then and the ones I received during the 7 months I have been here. It is so nice to be remembered. God Bless you all!
