Supervisors, NDOR Discuss Bridge Repairs

Antelope County Supervisors and representatives from the State of Nebraska are finally moving forward with the issue of when repairs can be made to June flood-damaged bridges.

At their regular meeting held Tuesday, Feb. 1, Supervisors were updated on developments from meetings held with officials from the Nebraska Department of Roads.

Concerning the Orchard Bridge, they learned from DOR officials that Antelope County is the only county that has completed the necessary paperwork and submitted fier federal road project.

Supervisor Merlin Bolling said it’s possible bridges could be torn out next fall and repair work could begin in the summer of 2012.
