Supervisors Expected to Make Decision Tuesday on New County Jail

The Antelope County Board of Supervisors will meet in regular session on Tuesday, Aug. 7.
The agenda for the meeting is as follows:
• 9 a.m. — Antelope County Historical Society shingling and repair the Pioneer Church roof/Ray Ahrends & LaVern Hauptman
• Correspondence
• Conduct 3rd quarter jail inspection
• 9:30 a.m. — Open bids for used Payloader
• 9:45 a.m. — Public Hearing for amendments to Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Regulations/Carpenter
• 10:30 a.m. —  Make a decision on the jail/to build or not to build
• Neligh, Clearwater, Tilden, Orchard and Brunswick Public Library Interlocal Agreements
• Deny or approve the preliminary levies
• Sign resolution for road closing between Sections 15 and 16, Neligh, Township
• Sign resolution setting the public hearing for closing Road 867 between Sections 18 and 19, Eden Township
• List of surplus property to sell at auction
• Appoint Merlyn Maple to the Veterans Service Committee
• District Seven Probation year end review
• Antelope Country Club liquor license renewal
• Application for permit to cross 845 Road at the SW1/4NW1/4 Section 2, Burnett Township/Chris Unseld
• Sheriff’s office income report 2011-2012
• Hiring Robert Schleusener for the Clearwater District/Bolling
• Antelope County Veteran Aid Fund Annual Report for fiscal year 2011/2012

The items on the agenda do not necessarily have to be acted on in the above order.  The County Board has the right to modify the agenda upon convening, provided the matter is of an emergency nature.
