Members of the Antelope County Board of Supervisors spent much of their meeting last week opening and awarding bids.
Meeting April 3 at the Antelope County Courthouse, supervisors awarded bids for gravel, blades and culverts, oil as well as armor coating.
Here’s a breakdown of the bids received and the subsequent awarding of bids.
Armor coating — Bids received were from TopKote Inc of Yankton, S.D., $1,950 per mile; The Road Guy of Yankton, S.D., $1,765 per mile; and Figgins Construction, Inc. of Red Cloud, $2,645.94 per mile. The bid was awarded to The Road Guy.
MC-800 Oil — Bids were received from Asphalt & Fuel Supply of Overland Park, Kan., $3.534 per gallon; Flint Hills Resources of Wichita, Kan., $3.22 per gallon; and Jebro Inc. of Sioux City, Iowa, $3.1405 per gallon. The bid was awarded to Jebro.
Culvert and blades — Supervisors accepted all bids submitted by B’s Enterprises Inc. of Norfolk; Midwest Service and Sales Co. of Schuyler and CAT of Norfolk for blades. Culvert bids were accepted from B’s Enterprises Inc. of Norfolk, Metal Culverts Inc of Jefferson City, Mo., as well as Midwest Service and Sales Co. of Schuyler.
