Supervisor Bolling Still Under Investigation

The investigation into alleged actions of Antelope County Supervisor Merlin Bolling is in the hands of the Nebraska Attorney General’s (AG) office.
According to Antelope County Attorney Joe Abler, the Nebraska State Patrol turned their findings over to the AG office last week. Abler said on Monday it will likely take a couple of weeks before his office will be notified of what, if any, action is to be taken. It’s possible, he said, that a special prosecutor might have to be named should charges be filed.
The Antelope County Attorney’s office and Antelope County Sheriff’s office requested the Nebraska State Patrol conduct an investigation into actions taken by Bolling after a complaint was made that speed limit signs had been changed near Clearwater shortly after a relative of Bolling had received a citation for speeding in that area.
