State Senator Sullivan to Meet Constituents Tuesday

State Senator Kate Sullivan will be joining residents at the Elgin Senior Center on June 18.  The event will take place from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. and is sponsored by Great Plains Communications.
“We feel it’s important to provide an opportunity for constituents to have direct contact with their representatives. It’s a very powerful way to create stronger communication between voters and their elected officials,” said Amy Moan, Director of Marketing and Public Relations.
According to her official Nebraska Legislature biography, Sen. Sullivan was elected into the legislature in 2008. She earned her Bachelor of Science and Master’s Degree from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln.
Sullivan is very active in her District and across Nebraska. She is a member of several organizations including the Cedar Rapids Community Foundation, Nebraska AgRelations Council, and Nebraska Independent Community Bankers. She also spent 12 years on the Cedar Rapids school board.
