ELGIN — Playing at Elgin High School Tuesday night, Elgin Public-Pope John outlasted Stanton in four games.
The Wolfpack defeated the non-conference foe by the scores of 25-15, 21-25, 25-23 and 26-24.
One thing was clear from this match, Stanton was a quality opponent and the Wolfpack responded to the challenge by raising their level of play.
After splitting the first two games, the Wolfpack played the crucial points better than their opponent to win the third and fourth games by two point margins.
Senior Michelle Bauer led the team in kills with 15, Chelsi Mescher had six, Ashley Bode added five.
