Wolfpack Trio Combine For 52 Points In Win Over Niobrara/Verdigre

ELGIN — The Wolfpack jumped out to a 20 to 0 lead in the first quarter and never looked back as they defeated Niobrara/Verdigre 66 to 26 in the season opener for EPPJ.
Coach Randy Eisenhauer’s pressure defense forced the Cougars into repeated turnovers in the opening quarters, then the Wolfpack pushed the ball up the court for easy baskets.
Leading the scoring parade for the Wolfpack was sophomore Allyson Wemhoff who finished with 22 points, many coming on layups. Seniors’ Jordan Mescher and Elizabeth Selting each had 15 points in the victory.
