Wolfpack Track Team Competes at N-O Invite

PLAINVIEW — Competing at the Neligh-Oakdale Invitational last week, the Wolfpack girls took fourth while the boys placed eighth.

Leading the way for the Wolfpack girls were Courtney Schumacher who placed second in the 400 meter dasy, teammate Connor Kinney took second in the 100 meter hurdles as did Madi Voborny in the 300 meter hurdles.

In the boys competition, top performances were turned in by the 3200 meter relay team which finished third.

In the boys team competition, Osmond won with 96.5 points. Other team scores were Neligh-Oakdale 80.5, Lindsay Holy Family 41, Elkhorn Valley 66, Plainview 80, Humphrey 72, Newman Grove 63, EPPJ 28 and Niobrara-Verdigre 0.

Lindsay Holy Family won the girls team title with 164 points. Other team scores were Neligh-Oakdale 51, Plainview 77.3, Osmond 69.8, EPPJ 63, Humphrey 46.3, Newman Grove 29, Elkhorn Valley 22.5 and Verdigre 2.

Boys

Discus — 1. Wyatt Schuetler, Osmond, 125’1”; 6. Corey Schindler, EPPJ, 106’7”.

Triple jump — 1. Drew Rautenberg, Elkhorn Valley, 39’5 1/2”.

Shot put — 1. Wyatt Schuetter, Osmond, 45’4”; 4. Brian Finkral, EPPJ, 40’5 1/2”; 6. Corey Schindler, EPPJ, 40’0 1/2”.
