Wolfpack Pound Arapahoe in Semi-Final Round of Playoffs

ELGIN — Trick plays seldom work. It’s a lesson Arapahoe Coach Dustin Sealey learned the hard way Monday afternoon as the Wolfpack defeated the Warriors 42 to 6 in the semi-final round of the Class D-1 State Football Playoffs.
By virtue of the victory, the undefeated Wolfpack will journey to Lincoln Monday to play for another state championship. Their foe will be Exeter-Milligan who beat Bruning-Davenport-Shickley (BDS) 24 to 20 Monday.
On Monday afternoon, on a sun-splashed field, the Wolfpack removed the final obstacle in their way to the championship game.
Coming into the game undefeated, Arapahoe had a size advantage entering the game, but the Wolfpack’s quickness proved to be too much for the Warriors to handle.
“We knew we had to play defense,” Coach Carlie Wells said about the game.
