CEDAR RAPIDS — Elgin Public-Pope John placed 10th out of 17 teams competing Friday at the Cedar Valey Maverick invitational.
Wood River won the team title with 196 points followed by Stanton at 143.5, Weeping Water 104.5, Grand Island CC 83, Fullerton 82, Lutheran High Northeast 71, Cedar Valley 70, Cambridge 67, Arcadia/Loup City 62, EPPJ 62, Palmer 55, unattached 45, Neligh-Oakdale 39, Overton 35, Nebraska Christioan 27, LHF/HSF 24 and Clearwater/Orchard 0.
Four Wolfpack wrestlers medaled at the invite. Shane Beckman placed second, Tyler Childers and Andrew Fangman each placed third and Ryan Pelster was fourth in their respective weight classes.
