The Elgin 14 & Under girls softball team ended its season with a 6 to 5 loss to Creighton on Tuesday, July 5. Getting hits for Elgin were Tori Starman, Taylor Schumacher and Nikki Beckman, each with a single.
Jenna Parks and Baylie Schiltmeyer had two singles each.
Kayla Nelson started out pitching for Elgin. She had two strikeouts. Nikki Beckman came in to pitch the last inning, walking two and striking out one.
Paula Dowdy came to play with Elgin for this game.
