Smiles and Tears Part of Pope John Graduation Sunday

Ten seniors walked out of St. Boniface Gymnasium Sunday afternoon as the 44th graduating class of Pope John XXIII High School.

In a ceremony which lasted less than one hour, 13 years of education culminated with the presentation of diplomas by Keith Schumacher, president of the Pope John Advisory Board.

As family and friends looked on, the seniors marched in to meet their destiny, to close one chapter of their lives and to open a new one. Receiving diplomas were Zachary Baker, Alex Dierks, Emily Fischer, Derek Henn, Arielle Kerkman, Kyle Knievel, Ben Pelster, Morgan Pelster, Eric Schiltmeyer and Corey Schindler.
