Sharon Kay (Mrs. Ronald) Wilkinson, 75 of Elgin, passed away Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at UNMC – Omaha.
Visitation will be 5 – 7 p.m. Wednesday, August 29, 2018 at Huffman-Levander Funeral Home in Elgin.
A Celebration of Life gathering will follow, beginning at 7 p.m., at the Elgin Community Center.
A private family inurnment will take place at a later date, at West Cedar Valley Cemetery, Elgin.

Sharon Kay Wilkinson, daughter of Lester and Loretta (Sparks) Sheets, was born June 14, 1943 at O’Neill. She spent her first 18 years living in O’Neill and attended both St. Mary’s and O’Neill Public schools.
On June 24, 1961, Sharon married Ronald Lee Wilkinson in O’Neill at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. They lived in Neligh before moving to Elgin.
To this union, three children were born: Ronda, Randy and Tammy. Sharon worked for many different businesses up and down the main street in Elgin, including keeping books for her husband Ron’s Westside Repair, Elgin Bowl, Kate’s Kitchen, Boomerangs for her nephew Jerry and wife Melanie, Harold’s Shoes and Clothing, Elgin Lumber and Grain, Karen Siems Café and Bakery, City Limits Liquor Store and Elgin One Stop. In addition, beginning in 1987, she owned and operated “Sharon’s Crafts N Stuff”.
Besides being a hard worker, Sharon had many enjoyments. She loved to bowl, play cards and bingo, and her husband Ron got her enthused about racing, which lead her to drive in many powder puff races. She was a very crafty lady and had a strong love for animals, but her favorite time, was that spent with her family.
Sharon is survived by her daughters: Ronda (Nathan) Price of Grand Island, NE and Tammy Wilkinson of Omaha, NE; five grandchildren: Jennifer Dozler of Kearney; Tonya Dozler of Norfolk; Dezirae Wilkinson of Omaha; Michael Dozler of Washington D.C.; Jazmin Wilkinson of Omaha; five great-grandchildren: Rian Green of Kearney; Jaciona Fiscus, Raeona Fiscus and Amiyah Wilkinson, all of Omaha; Zaen Green of Kearney, NE; a sister Norma Shiffer of Denver, CO; a brother Jimmy Sheets of North Platte, NE; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Sharon Wilkinson (Mrs. Gary) of Elgin, NE; Max Wilkinson Jr. ”Bud” (Tarri) of Hallam, NE; Dean (Linda) Wilkinson of Oakdale, NE; Lois (Alan) Buffington of Ft. Collins, CO; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ron in 2017; son Randy Lee in 1962; brother Virtus “Buzzy” Sheets; brother-in-law Gary Wilkinson; and sister-in-law Patsy Wilkinson.
