Schumacher, Schindler Win ‘Gold’ at Creighton Invite

CREIGHTON — Gold medals were won by Wolfpack track athletes competing last week at the Creighton Invite.
Taylor Schumacher led the girls with a first place effort in the 800 meter run, winning in a time of 2:32.20. Teammate Madison Voborny placed second place effort in the 100 meter hurdles. Later, she finished third in the 300 meter hurdles.
For the Wolfpack boys, they were led by Nash Schindler who won the 300 meter hurdles in a time of 44.70 seconds.
In the boys team competition, Crofton easily won with 142 points followed by Bon Homme 85, Randolph 83, Laurel-Concord-Coleridge 61, Cedar Catholic 53.5, Creighton 41, Wausa 36, EPPJ 25.5.
Crofton won the girls team title with 115.5 points followed by Laurel-Concord-Coleridge 107, Bon Homme 96.5, Cedar Catholic 96, EPPJ 39, Wausa 38, Creighton 27, Randolph 8.
