Schrunk Fire Benefit to be February 20 at Bartlett

Barring a February snowstorm, organizers of the Ellis and Lois Schrunk Fire Benefit say everything is set and ready to go for the event.

On Sunday, February 20, a pancake and sausage feed will be held at the Wheeler County Fairground’s activity building in Bartlett with the proceeds to benefit the Schrunks.

According to Sharon Derner, serving will run from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Free-will offerings will be accepted. Thrivent Financial will be matching the funds donated.

The Schrunks lost their home to a December fire while celebrating their family Christmas at their guesthouse.

Should bad weather hit that weekend, the 27th is the event’s storm date.
