The District #18 Board of Education will hold their regular monthly meeting on June 11.
The meeting is scheduled to begin at 8 p.m. in the distance learning room at the high school.
Items on the ‘action’ agenda are:
• Approve lunch prices
• Approve salary increase for classified staff
• Approve salary increase for administration
• Approve Haddock Care Preventative Maintenance Program
• Approve revisions to Board Policy 203.09, Tentative Agenda Calendar
• Approve Transportation Report
• Approve purchase of school bus
Among the items listed for discussion are:
• Preliminary budget review
• Staff negotiations
The meeting will be the last meeting for Superintendent Steve Dennis whose resignation will take effect at the end of the month. Taking over the duties of superintendent in July will be Dan Polk.
The meeting is open to the public.

Once again, the Elgin Chamber of Commerce/Community Club wants to make sure everyone has the opportunity to enjoy Thanksgiving Dinner.
Businesses as well as individuals here in the Elgin community are once again inviting residents to register to win a free turkey or prize to be awarded the week of Thanksgiving.
Businesses wishing to participate in the annual event are encouraged to contact the Elgin Review office this week to be listed in the ad announcing participating businesses which will be printed next week. Businesses wishing to participate should contact the newspaper office (843, 5500) by noon on Monday, Nov. 15.
The drawings will be held on Monday, Nov. 22.
Once the names are drawn, the businesses will need to contact the newspaper with the winners by 4 p.m. that day.
