Schindler, Pelster Chosen for Sertoma All-Star Game

Two members of the Wolfpack state championship football team have been selected to play in an all-star game this summer featuring the best 8-man football players from across the state.

Wolfpack Coach Carlie Wells announced Monday that Nash Schindler and Caleb Pelster were chosen to play in the Sertoma 8-Man All-Star game to be played Saturday, June 16, at Hastings College.

Both Schindler and Pelster earned all-state honors in helping lead the Wolfpack to an undefeated season and a state championship.

They will be members of the ‘West’ team who will be coached by Andy Schwarz of South Loup High School. Assistant coaches will be Brent Streeter of Bertrand and Jeff Shabram of Clearwater/Orchard.

Head coach of the ‘East’ team will be Bob McEvoy of Humphrey, joined by assistants Cletus Corman of Deshler and Mitchell Shepherd of Pawnee City.

Complete rosters will be announced at a later date.
