Roy Charles Schmidt

Roy C. Schmidt, 86, of Fairbury, previously of Elgin, passed away at the Gardenside long term care facility on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2012.
A graduate of Neligh High School, he farmed and ranched northwest of Elgin for 48 years.
Funeral services for Schmidt were held Monday, Oct. 1, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Elgin. His son, the Rev. Charles Schmidt of Fairbury and the Rev. David Kuhfal officiated.
Burial was in the Park Cemetery at Elgin.
