Rollover Claims Life of Wisconsin Man

A Wisconsin man died Friday as the result of a one-vehicle rollover near Raeville.

According to information provided by the Boone County Sheriff’s Department, Gerald Lesko, 46, of Brodhead, Wis., was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The accident took place at approximately 4:20 p.m. The accident report said Lesko was driving a semi-tractor trailer westbound on 110th Street, approximately one-tenth of a mile east of 230 Avenue when he lost control and the truck rolled over. 

The truck he was operating was a 1988 Peterbilt owned by Glen Strickland American Transportation Inc based out of Pittsburg, PA. The accident report stated that Lesko was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.

It is believed that Lesko had earlier unloaded materials at the one of the nearby wind turbine construction areas prior to the accident.

Lesko was alone in the vehicle at the time of the accident.
