Robert Joe Reiter, 64, of Oakdale, NE, passed away and was found on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at his home in Oakdale.
Robert’s body will be cremated and there was a visitation held on Monday, December 10, 2018 from 3-4 p.m. at Huffman-Levander Funeral Home in Elgin, NE. Condolences can be sent to the family at www.huffmanlevander.com.

Robert Joe Reiter, son of Dale Reiter and Jacquelyn (Hand) Dwyer, was born on September 1, 1954 at Albion, NE. He attended High School at Ewing, NE where he played football. Following his schooling Robert entered the United States Army and served in the Vietnam War.
Bob was united in marriage in 1978 to Cindy M. Switzer in Colorado. They lived in rural Ewing, where they had their son Shannon. Bob gained three step-children: Scott, Justin, and Amy Grey. The couple was later divorced.
Bob married Sherri Lynn Wyant in Spokane, WA. The couple lived in Washington, Kentucky, and then moved to their home in Oakdale, NE. Bob gained two step-daughters Tammy and Rhonda. Sherri passed away in 2006. Bob enjoyed riding and working on his motorcycles as well as other small engines. He gave his whole heart to Sherri and after her passing he missed her terribly. He suffered from many health problems in these past years.
Bob is survived by his son Shannon (Sara) Reiter of Columbus, NE; mother Jackie Dwyer of Elgin, NE; brother Dan (Sonia) Reiter of Louisiana; two step-sons: Scott (Letha) Grey of Norfolk, NE; Justin (Trish) Grey of Norfolk, NE; step-daughter: Amy Grey of Norfolk, NE; two step-daughters Tammy and Rhonda; 7 grandchildren; step-brother Mark (Julie) Dwyer of Bartlett, NE; three step-sisters: Maureen O’Donnell of Wisconsin; Cammy (Larry) Abbey of Colorado; and Donna Finkral of Norfolk, NE; along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents; father Dale Reiter, step-father Paul Dwyer, and his wife Sherri.
