The Elgin City Council met in regular session on Monday, April 3, 2017, at 7:30 p.m., pursuant to posted notice.  Mayor Schmitt called the meeting to order, and announced the location of the Open Meeting Act.  Mayor Schmitt also opened the One and Six Year Street Hearing.  Council members present were Don Mackel, Mike Dvorak, Jim Kittelson and Duane Miller.

• $300.00 for Centennial Garden and City Park improvements
• Increase in the bid for the storage building due to a stem wall
• Building permits: Dennis Morgan
• Bids for sale 6 old fire hydrants-Jim Kittelson 2 @$50.00 each and Merle Moser 4@ $27.84 each
• Purchasing a grapple  hook and bucket from Titan Machinery for $5,500.00
• Holding a community cleanup for one day in May
• Hiring Bailey and Allison Wemhoff as full time lifeguards
• Resolution 2017-1, approving the One and Six Year Street Plan
• Adjourned the One and Six Year Street Hearing at 9:00
