Approved sending a letter to the state senators regarding re-routing of the TransCanada pipeline.

Set the ag use fees at $25.00.

The Veterans Service Officer gave his 3rd quarter report.

Authorized the chairman to sign Form 1F and the Certification to the Nebraska Board of Classifications and Standards.

No action taken on the Orchard Law Enforcement agreement.

Authorized the chairman to sign the Certification Statement and letter for reimbursement of the indirect costs relating to the Nebraska Health & Human Service Systems office.

Reviewed the following September fee reports: sheriffs, clerk of the district court, treasurers fund balance and miscellaneous fees.

Reviewed correspondence.

Approved the lease/purchase of a Model 84E-450 Asphalt Recycler.

Heard from Cindi Rudder with Liberty National Life Insurance Co.

Heard from Faythe Petersen regarding the model city disaster exercise to be offered October 13, 2011 at the Neligh Fire Hall.

Opened the proposals and statements of qualifications from consulting firms interested in being considered and evaluated for the Jail Needs Assessment Study; tabled until November 8, 2011.
