Those responding to roll call: Bolling, Kerkman, Baker, Henery and Schwager. Williby appeared later. Brandt absent.
Loren Haselhorst met with the board to discuss placing a temporary hose across 517 Avenue in Royal Township and placing a temporary hose in the county right of way in Blaine Township; Mr. Haselhorst was informed to flag the hose and complete the projects as soon as possible.
Heard from Nebraska Public Power District representatives regarding the R-Project Electric Transmission Line and the Neligh-Hoskins 345 kV Project.
No action taken on renting several large culverts to Dave Jensen.
Authorized the chairman to sign the resolution directing the highway superintendent to conduct a study of 842 Road located between Sections 24 and Section 25, Elgin Township; study is to consider the vacation or abandonment of said road.
Authorized the chairman to sign the resolution removing the temporary stop sign erected to control east bound traffic at the intersection of 523 Avenue and 835 Road and to make permanent the stop sign stopping the westbound traffic at the same intersection.
Authorized the county clerk to advertise for bids for the C-2(372) construction project.
Discussed receiving a quote from Hammer Insurance for the county health insurance.
Discussed the wind towers with Gary Borer.
Reviewed correspondence.
Appointed Don Carter to the Veteran Service Committee beginning July 1, 2014.
Discussed purchasing culverts from Blattner Energy; no action taken.
Authorized the county clerk to advertise for bids for a county auditor.
Approved the April 1, 2014 and the April 8, 2014 board minutes.
Approved the permit to place a permanent electric line beneath 527 Avenue, Custer Township.
