Having been approved for a conditional use permit by the Antelope County Board of Superviosrs, the next hurdle for Prairie Breeze Wind Energy is the Nebraska Power Review Board (NPRB).
The NPRB will hold a formal hearing, open to the public, on Friday, Feb. 8, beginning at 9:30 a.m., in the Liquor Control Commission hearing room, 5th floor, Nebraska State Office Building, 301 Centennial Mall South, Lincoln, Nebraska, to consider the application.
Prairie Breeze has submitted a special general application to the NPRB to be granted the authority to construct a 200-Megawatt wind turbine electric generation facility and a 25-mile 230 kilovolt transmission interconnection line in Antelope, Boone and Madison Counties, Nebraska.
According to NPRB materials, the line will connect the project collection system substation to the point of interconnection at the Nebraska Public Power District’s planned 230 kilovolt switchyard near the Village of Meadow Grove.
