Pope John Central Catholic claimed the top spot in the 20th anniversary ESU #8 2009 Academic Quiz Bowl.The competition was held at the American Legion building in Neligh on April 8. Pope John defeated faced Norfolk Junior High School (NJHS) in the finals. Pope John will advance to the next level of competition on April 29 at the Nebraska ESU Senior High Academic Quiz Bowl at Holdrege.
