Pope John Seniors to Graduate Sunday

Commencement exercises for Pope John XXIII Central Catholic High School will be held on Sunday, May 8, at 1:30 p.m. in the St. Boniface Auditorium in Elgin.

Rev. John Broheimer will give the Invocation.  Rev. Ross Burkhalter, President of Pope John, will give the Benediction.

Alex Dierks was chosen by his peers to be the class speaker.  The selection: “I Hope You Dance”, will be sung by the women’s choir, accompanied by Mrs. Patricia Miller, who will also play the processional.  A video presentation has been prepared by Eric Schiltmeyer.

Mrs. Betty Getzfred, principal, will present the graduates.  Diplomas will be conferred by Mr. Keith Schumacher, Pope John Advisory Board chairperson.

Members of the forty-fourth graduating class of Pope John are: Zachary Dale Baker, Alexander Rau Dierks, Emily Ann Fischer, Derek John Henn, Arielle Taylor Kerkman, Kyle Edward Joseph Knievel, Benjamin Joseph Pelster, Morgan Ann Pelster, Eric Anthony Schiltmeyer andCorey Max Schindler.
