Pope John Seniors Receive Diplomas

For years they have dreamed about this day coming and finally it arrived.

On Sunday afternoon, the 19 members of the 43rd graduating class from Pope John Central Catholic High School received their diplomas during pomp and pageantry inside St. Boniface Gymnasium.

In the space of slightly more than an hour, there was celebration and tears, time to look forward and time to reflect back on 13 years of learning together. Now, each graduating senior will go their own way to seek their place in this world.

Selected by the seniors to address the class during the program were Sarah Starman and Kasi Stoltz.

After special music was performed by Carey Eischeid and Arielle Kerkman, Miss Starman spoke on the importance of believing.

“As this class moves forward…it is important to believe in themselves, their loved ones and their futures,” she said. “Whatever it is that is closest to your heart is what you will carry with you on your journey … Though you may not know exactly where you are going, what you believe will become the very fabric of who you are.”
