Polk, Heithoff Lead Wolfpack Track Efforts at BC Invite

BATTLE CREEK — Having seen their first two scheduled track meets wiped off the calendar, EPPJ tracksters finally got a chance to show their skills Tuesday, April 2, at the Battle Creek Invite.
Competing for the first time this season, the Wolfpack turned in some good times and distances, but came up on the short end of the team standings.
The girls were led by Marin Heithoff who finished second in the triple jump with a leap of 30-9.
For the boys, the best effort turned in by a Wolfpack competitor came from senior Zach Polk who finished second in the triple jump.
In the team competition, Norfolk Catholic won the girls title with 164 points followed by Stanton 87, Wisner-Pilger 75, Osmond 53, Madison 42, Battle Creek 31, Randolph 30, Elgin Public/Pope John 23 and Plainview 22.
