In Coach Mark Schmitt’s first season as head coach of the Wolfpack boys basketball team, the squad showed improvement as they progressed through the season.
The team put together a two-game winning streak late in the season before finishing with a 5-17 record.
“Defense was probably our team strength this year,” Schmitt said. “We held several teams to season lows on points scored. We were basically a young team with little varsity experience when the season started. I felt we made definite steps forward as the season progressed, gaining valuable game experience. Now we have to commit in the off-season to improving our skills to be able to compete at a higher level next year.”
