ORDINANCE NO. 637 OF THE
CITY OF ELGIN, NEBRASKA
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, NEBRASKA, ANNEXING CONTIGUOUS LANDS AND STREETS TO THE CITY OF ELGIN, NEBRASKA, TO REPEAL ALL SECTIONS IN CONFLICT HEREWITH, AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ELGIN, NEBRASKA:
Sec. 1. The below described real estate is contiguous and adjacent to the City of Elgin, Nebraska, and is urban or suburban in character:
Sec. 2. The real estate will receive material benefits and advantages from annexation to said City.
Sec. 3. The Owner of the real estate has prepared and filed with the Elgin City Clerk an accurate plat of the subdivision of the real estate and requested the real estate to be annexed to the City of Elgin.
Sec. 4. The real estate meets all requirements for annexation to the City.
Sec. 5. That the following described real estate:
A tract of land located in part of the Northwest 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 and part of the Northeast 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 11, T23N, R7W of the 6th P.M., Antelope County, Nebraska, more particularly described as follows: Commencing at the Northwest corner of the Northeast 1/4 of the Southeast 1/4 of Section 11, T23N, R7W of the 6th P.M., Antelope County, Nebraska; thence S 01G13’57” E on an assumed bearing on the West line of the Northeast 1/4 of said Southeast 1/4, 897.29 feet to the Point of Beginning, said point being on the North line of “Sterling Heights 2nd Subdivision”; thence N 89G33’39” E and parallel to the South line of the North 1/2 of said Southeast 1/4, 57.12 feet to the Northwest corner of Lot 1, Block C of “Sterling Heights Subdivision”; thence S 01G12’19” E on the West line of said Subdivision, 210.63 feet to a point on the South line of “Westridge Drive”; thence N 89G33’39” E on the South line of “Westridge Drive”, 86.77 feet to a point on the West line of said “Sterling Heights Subdivision”; thence S 01G19’15” E on said West line, 210.00 feet to a point on the South line of the North 1/2 of said Southeast 1/4; thence S 89G33’39” W on said South line, 474.75 feet to a point on the West line of “Sterling Heights 2nd Subdivision”; thence N 01G13’57” W on said West Line, 420.62 feet to a point on said North line; thence N 89G33’39” E on said North line 330.63 feet to the Point of Beginning, containing 4.16 acres, more or less, be, and the same hereby is included within the corporate limits, boundaries and territory of the City of Elgin, Nebraska, and said lands and the persons residing thereon shall hereafter be subject to all of the rules, regulations, ordinances, taxes and all other burdens and benefits of other persons and territory included within the City of Elgin, Nebraska.
Sec. 6. That the City Clerk shall deliver and file a copy of this Ordinance with the Antelope County Register of Deeds and the Antelope County Assessor for recording this ordinance of annexation.
Sec. 7. That other ordinances in conflict herewith are hereby repealed.
Sec. 8. That this ordinance shall be in effect and full force upon its passage, approval and publication according to law.
